A while back we were pleased to report that @rory_skinner_11 had won the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, after a dominant season in 2020. In fact, he was the youngest ever winner in that class at nineteen. If you have been checking in on our stories you will know that we have been following Rory for some time.

Having been given a place in the British Talent Cup in 2018, by the wise men at Dorna, he went out and won the championship. Then in 2019 he fought his way in the British Supersport Championship, with private sponsorship and showed his worth. For 2020 Team Appleyard Macadam Racing, more wise men, put him on their British Supersport Championship team, and he went out and won the championship.

Just a few weeks ago we did a piece on this likeable young man from Perth, did a bit of background stuff and told you that we would be following him. Well, it has not taken him long to give us a good reason to be talking about him again.

For the 2021 season Rory has signed up to @fs3racing to race their Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR in the premier class Bennetts British Superbike Championship, and with support from @teamgreenracinguk, this is going to be fun.

Once again, well done Rory! This is the basic bike package that has taken Jonathan Rea to six world championships. It is interesting to note that Rory has been looking at World Supersports, but with his usual maturity has decided to go the BSB route, small steps often work out the best. Perhaps we might see a Jake Dixon style progression, but wherever Rory races it will always be worth watching.
