It’s all over folks, the @MotoGP race season has come to an end, and apart from some testing in Valencia & Jerez, the paddock will be packing everything away and the engineers can spend the winter trying to find some more tenths, whilst the riders mix it up with some relaxation and training.
The staffers here have a lot of experience in the management of athletes in Extreme and Motor Sports. We are proud to have helped some to British and World Champion status, and part of that skill set was about talent spotting, looking at those who have potential. So we thought we would look at some riders in the offseason.
All this talk about the retirement of @JorgeLorenzo99 made us think back to last year when he appeared on the @BTSport end of season show at the @BikeShedMC in London. However, our thoughts were not so much about Jorge. We wrote a little piece about that show, and particularly about the 2018 @BritishTalentCup winner, @Rory_Skinner_11.
Well if you do remember we were impressed by his personable delivery and of course, his riding talent. We suggested sponsors get their cheque books out to help this young guy, and although we might like to think this had some effect, in reality, there were those with far more influence looking in that direction.
Well, Rory rode in the @OfficialBSB Supersports Championship in 2019, on a @kawasakiuk, very much as a privateer, with backing from, amongst others @Watermans_Solicitors, in the Watermans MSR team. He struggled at first, but by the end of the season, his talent was shining through.
So the big news is that Rory will ride for Integro Yamaha Appleyard Macadam Team in 2020 (@colinappleyardltd @yamaharacinguk). This is the team that has won the British Supersports Championship three years in a row, this year with @JackKennedy_4, and with @BradJones12 finishing second. Rory will team up with Brad for the 2020 season, and we wish them both the best for the forthcoming races.
