Qualifying:

Quali had Romano Fenati on pole, Dennis Foggia P2 and Niccolo Antonelli P3.

The Race:

It was Romano Fenati who used his pole position to the best advantage, he moved cleanly off the line to take P1 on lap one, followed by Niccolo Antonelli and Andrea Migno. Lap by lap Fenati pulled a slight gap over the other two and by lap six two groups had formed, with championship leader Pedro Acosta leading the second group, but in P9, not where he needed to be with his nearest championship rivals, Foggia, Fenati and Garcia all ahead.

With 10 laps to go, Roman Fenati dropped his Husqvarna, splattering it all over the kitty litter, down and out, but OK (Stefano Manzi somewhere with a voodoo doll and pin?). Fenati had gone from a comfortable 1.8 gap to nothing in a split second. That left Dennis Foggia in the lead, with Andrea Migno P2 and Darryn Binder P3. The previous front runner Niccolo Antonelli had slipped to P6, with Pedro Acosta was still in that second group in P8.

To be fair Misano was not the most interesting Moto3 race, well, as Moto3 races usually go, it was strung out and boring to watch, but that is from a spectator point of view, as the riders are always in the zone and for them, it’s always exciting. With three laps to go, Dennis Foggia was in the lead with Andrea Migno P2 and Niccolo Antonelli P3, having found his form again.

Last lap and it was Dennis Foggia still in the lead, Antonelli P2 and Migno P3 and that was how it finished. Pedro Acosta had run a careful race, and finished P7, as he had to protect his championship position, and as it was not apparent why he was running so low down in the ranks, that was the best he could do.

The Result:

Dennis Foggia, Leopard Racing, Honda, P1. Niccolo Antonelli, Avintia VR46, KTM, P2. Andrea Migno, Rivacold Snipers Team, Honda, P3.
