We have not done much reporting on the British Superbikes this year, and for that, we apologise. We will get our mojo back, just like Boris, and get on it.

However, one thing we have done is to keep a watchful eye on one of our favourite riders. If you remember, and we hope you do, at the end of the 2018 season we did a little piece on @Rory_Skinner_11, after watching the BT Sport coverage from the Bike Shed. We gave praise to Rory and his British Talent Cup Championship win, his personable nature and his unquestionable talent. Going into the 2018 season Rory was not sure of a ride, but Dorna, in their usual spot on wisdom, secured him the BTC place, and he did them proud.

Then it was 2019 and Rory rode in the @OfficialBSB Supersports Championship in 2019, on a @kawasakiuk, very much as a privateer, with backing from, amongst others @Watermans_Solicitors, in the Watermans MSR team. He struggled at first, but by the end of the season, his talent was shining through.

At the end of the season, it was announced that he would ride in British Supersports for Integro Yamaha Appleyard Macadam Team in 2020 (@colinappleyardltd @yamaharacinguk). The team that had won the Supersports Championship for three years and Rory was right there in the mix.

We did a little piece on that too.

Now we are coming to the end of the 2020 season (Brands Hatch this weekend), and the last race was at Donington, and yes, you guessed it after a sketchy Saturday, this remarkable young man came roaring back and clinched the British Supersports title for the year.

So our congratulations to you Rory, your family and the team. We’ll be looking forward to seeing what you move onto next!
