Like many other companies, Covid-19 forced Bike Shed in London to close and the 11th Bike Shed show dates flew past. But they have not been sat at home watching Netflix (maybe a little?).

Before the April was done, they had already started the Bike Shed Community Response project in conjunction with Team Rubicon disaster response (@teamrubiconuk), Gophr, Wavestone and @indianmotorcycleuk. The Nationwide project asks those that can help to step-up and do their part to support the community.

The aim is to provide a free courier-style service to collect PPE parts for assembly, deliver assembled PPE gear to front-line healthcare workers, along with food, medicine, and distributing NHS lung-capacity testing kits, to see which unwell people might be better off in hospital than at home.

For more information about how you can volunteer you can visit https://bikeshedcommunityresponse.com

Furthermore, with the Bike Shed show being cancelled for 2020 and with many shed builders and pros working on new bikes to bring to the show, Bike Shed wanted a way to bring them to you. So they have created a virtual video custom bike show called Bike Shed Unlocked.

The Bike Shed has today announced a Track-day at Brands Hatch on Thursday 20th August, in the spirit of the Cafe Racer Cup & Bike Shed Festival, for non-sports bikes, cafe racers, scramblers, trackers, bobbers, roadsters, carbed classic super-sports, etc… we will stay tuned to see how that and the new Bike Shed project in L.A are coming along.

Keep up the good work guys, we love what you are doing and thank you for helping so many people. As soon as we are allowed we will be taking a trip to the big smoke to see you.
