2021 International Female Ride Day

The Motorcycle Perspective Instagram takeover

At Bike Directory, we wanted to celebrate International Female Ride Day and what better way to do that than to publicly scream about women across the world that inspire us.

What is International Female Ride Day?

It was set up 15 years ago by an amazing lady called Vicky Gray – the Motoress (see below) – she set up a day to celebrate all women riders, to empower other ladies to get into biking and to celebrate all of the achievements of women in the motorcycle community and within the industry.

The first female that I want to mention is the amazing Vicky Gamble at The Motorcycle Perspective. We met recently as part of the Mental Health Motorbike project and we knew instantly that we could work together to help promote positive mental health among riders. She, as The Motorcycle Perspective took over our Instagram account and the rest is recent history. SO! without further ado…

Vicky Gamble

Riding bikes since 2012, right now my current ride is a 2018 Triumph Street Twin, I spent the last 5 years living in Canada in Vancouver BC, loved riding the road over there, there are some beautiful mountain roads if you ever get the chance to go! Right now I live in Bournemouth, Dorset. I love exploring the country roads around here and getting more connected with the motorcycle community which is something I’m especially passionate about.
