A strong grid line up for Moto 2 with @alexmarquez73 on pole @jorge_navarro9 next to him and third @augustofernandez37. That was 1st 3rd and 4th in the Championship, as second is Thomas Luhti. So the grid looking like the Championship, not sure how often that happens.

A good start from many on the front part of the grid saw Alex Marquez, Jorge Navarro and @xavivierge_97 pull away. This did not last with Vierge slipping away and at 16 laps to go, it was Marquez, Navarro and @remygardner a tight group and pulling away. Not long before @bradbinder_41 slipped past Remy and although Remy had his elbows out, Brad made it stick.

Then disaster, well for one rider anyhow, as Alex Marquez dropped it on a low side slipping off the tarmac and into the kitty litter. Although the crash was slow, the clutch lever dug in and it was race over for Marquez, with a slow, forlorn stroll back to the box.

At 10 laps to go Jorge Navarro was leading and looking like pulling a comfortable lead from Binder and the now on fire Augusto Fernandez. At this point the race “settled” and saw some drawn-out laps, the front four having made it their race.

So it came to the last lap and at Club, Fernandez tucked under Navarro for the lead, who momentarily fought back, but this was Augusto’s day and took first over the line.

#1 @augustofernandez37 – Flexbox HP40 | #2 @jorge_navarro9 – Campetella Speed Up | #3 @bradbinder_41 – Red Bull KTM Ajo and a very close @remygardner – ONEXOX TKKR SAG Team, in 4th.
On to Misano.
