Profile
Glen Cafe
The Glen Cafe is a long established eatery on the banks of the Loch of the Lowes. Although it has moved location a couple of times, there has been a cafe on the banks of the Loch of the Lowes since the 1920’s. The banks of St Marys Loch and the cafe green on the banks of the Loch of the Lowes has long been a favourite for visitors to come and spend a day amidst the beautiful setting of the lochs and surrounding hills.
The area is popular with walkers, cyclists, anglers, photographers and in fact anyone with an interest in the outdoors. The Southern Upland Way runs nearby and we are only 5 miles from the Grey Mares Tail nature reserve. The lochs contain a good stock of trout, pike, perch and eels. Permits, rules and tips are available at the cafe. The cafe is also a popular stop for motorcyclists.
