Like many of you, I have been stuck indoors trying to the best of my ability to get my regular day job done which has left little time for anything else.
BUT… It has afforded us some thinking time.
The ACU is still closed but club racing to due to return on 16th July with the Fab Racing and Bemsee Championships. We have to ask, how will Covid-19 affect the club/semi-pro racing landscape?
The issue is that the majority of club/semi-pro racing teams are amateur run which means that they are self-funded with limited sponsorship propping them up. There are obviously exceptions. With the economy taking a dive and potential sponsors suffering can the teams financially carry on?
We wonder how many teams will be pulling out for the remainder of the 2020 season due to health or financial reasons and who will be back with a vengeance in 2021.
Only time will tell, We hope that the club racing scene stays as exciting and vibrant as ever. Let us know what your plans are for the upcoming season.

So tell us about your first race, road trip or about the time you met your racing heroes. Get writing, and re-writing, and tell us your story. Don’t worry if you aren’t the best writer, just send us the gist of your tale the facts and some photos and, we can get put the pieces together.
