Royal Enfield are celebrating their 120th anniversary this year. The British born company is the longest running motorcycle manufacturer.
From humble beginnings at the Redditch factory in 1901, Royal Enfield, the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, have been a preserver of the legacy of building simple, pared-down, authenticclassic motorcycles with plenty of simple and fun bikes.
Continuing its journey of encouraging and kickstarting the active, lifelong pursuit of exploration, Royal Enfield is gearing up to celebrate 120 years ofbeing fiercely unique, riding ahead with undeterred grit and resilience and building pure motorcycling culture since 1901.
To commemorate this milestone, Royal Enfield will mark the year 2021 with celebratory rallies across the globe to celebrate the legacy and the journey of motorcycling and the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is delighted to be hosting one of these events.
The South West Event
Superior Motorcycle Experiences have created a 120-mile rally that will pass through three counties, lacing together some of the finest motorcycling roads and scenery in the South West.
The route will incorporate moderate off-road stages for those with suitable bikes and a sense of adventure. This event is open to Royal Enfield motorcycles only in two classes of entry. The OpenClass is for classic & modern Enfield’s of any genre and model. The Adventure Class will be for Himalayan owners only. 120 tickets are available in each class.
We hope to see a gathering of Royal Enfield motorcycles and enthusiasts like never before. The ride will commence from the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum and culminate at the Winyard’s Gap Inn near Beaminster.
Event details and the exact route will be revealed to participants nearer to the event, and the route will be clearly marked along the way.
The finale venue will host a custom and historic Enfield display, Royal Enfield apparel showcase and food and drinks provision.
£5 from each entry fee will be donated to the charity Calm.
